Darkelf.org is a collaborative effort; our goal is to host and encourage the tales of the drow. The site design, art and written works have all been contributed by various folks throughout the Net. Visit our credits section to see who they are or jump to our submissions page to join them in their efforts.

The story of the dark elves dates back many centuries to the Shetland Isles. Darkelf.org hopes to bring about a revival of their tales. We encourage (but don't require) authors who submit their works to us to release them to the public under the Open Publication License. Among other things, the license allows people to creative derivative works from expressions released under its terms. This means that one person writes a story, releases it under the OPL and others are free to use that story as a foundation or background for their own works. We hope that this will spurn a renaissance of writings and re-conceptualization of this race of beautiful elves.
